Veranda project 6 Applique flower sampler block
I have to be honest I was really scared of this one when I first started this project... but, with the support of a good friend; Janice... I was able to overcome of my fear of applique. This was all fusible and was very easy to do and went by quickly. It's one of my favorite blocks... I may do more of these.. don't you think it would make a stunning quilt??
Veranda Project 5 dresden plate and flying geese
Veranda project 4 Snowball Block
I also finished this one at retreat.. I am starting to think I need to go to retreat every weekend. I felt really accomplished. I cannot believe how incredibly easy this was to. I am thinking this would be a great block to do for an entire quilt for my grandsons.

Veranda Project 2 Offset Brick Block
This was an easy block to do. It took a bit to do... due to life getting in the way. I started it here at home and finished it at My Quilt Guild's retreat.

Section 4 of Yia Yia's Flower Garden
I just finished section 4 of the flower garden!!! Yippeeeeeee!!
This one ate my lunch and then some. after getting it together the first time, yes you read that right the first time ... I had to rip it out from top to bottom. Come to find out.... I was off a row.... wish i had caught it to begin with .. oh well...
I watched my grandchildren last night and threw it down on the floor, fighting with not one but two of her dogs walking across it.... I saw where it was off again and pinned in various places then off to piecing it back together again.....
The count on this section is : White- 57; White Print- 0; Lt Green- 0; Med Green- 15; Dk Green -27; Red- 23; Dk Red-54
Total Count so far: White-479; White Print -18; Lt Green-39; Med Green-77; Dk Green-75; Red-88; Dk Red- 261

I had decided to attempt to do a quilt for my granddaughter, Kayley. She is 9 years old and the light of our lives as her 3 brothers are. If all goes well it will be her Christmas present and with encouragment from a very dear friend Janice, I think it will be.
It was a block of the month I got from Quilter's Emporium here in Houston Texas.
Vernada is the name of the quilt by Amanda Murphy.
This is the first block... that was supppose to be a bargello block... but...ummm... well... guess what happened when you don't pay attention. By the time I caught the mistake, Janice looked at me and said "no one will know" ... LOL ... well I know and now you do too!! the block is staying put at this moment. I do have enough to do another one, but the seams like to ate my lunch... so many seams to match.... yes the pressing was right... it's the fact the block did not want to play nice. I got it done my way and I am content and happy.... at this moment....
I can hear Janice now... "you didn't have to tell anyone.. it could had been your secret... "
